This pleasant triangular square  is next to the cathedral, which occupies completely one side of the square. On the opposite side of the cathedral, we can see buildings with porches.

The Cathedral of Jaca has its roots in the eleventh century, during the reign of Sancho Ramirez, King of Navarra and Aragon. It has been regarded as one of the most important monuments of Romanesque art in Spain. It was built with a rectangular shape, with three apses, aligned with the three ships. In the fifteenth century were built new chapels, choir stalls and managed roofs. The Romanesque aspect of the temple vanishes under the Renaissance heyday, during the reforms during the sixteenth and seventeenth century.
